Reptile Supplies
Reptile supplies include items such as heat lamps and rocks, water dishes, branches and rocks to climb on and a tank, terrarium, or cage. The size and type of reptile will dictate what supplies to use. While a small snake would be just fine in a large cage, it may be difficult to find most of the time. A good sized cage or terrarium gives the animal enough room to move around and explore.
Some reptiles need water supplies that they can swim in so filter and pumps are some important reptile supplies. Plants can be put into the terrarium as well to create a pleasant ecosystem for the animal. Just be sure that the plants are okay for the retile as many house plants are highly toxic to pets. The tank acts as a miniature green house creating a tropical environment.
Heating is important for reptiles making the heating elements very good reptile supplies. They can be in the form of heat lamps which heat the area from the top and also provide light, they can be in the form of a pad that sits underneath the bedding material providing heat from the bottom of the cage, or they can be heating rocks and caves that have a heating element embedded in a rock.
