Pet Carriers

Pet carriers are great for transporting a dog or cat short and long distances. They can be simply bags that have a way to hold the animal inside either through straps or with netting and mesh barriers. Typically they are hard plastic with a metal grate door that can only be opened with human hands.

There are many different designs for pet carriers. Some are very fashionable and made to complement an outfit while still being able to safely and securely hold a small dog while others are purely utilitarian and designed solely for transporting the animal from one location to another. They can be big enough for the largest dogs and small enough for the tiniest ones.

Sizing pet carriers is important for the safety and comfort of the animal. They should be big enough for the animal to stand up in, turn around, sit down and lay down comfortable but not any bigger than that. Anything too big and they could hit the sides of the container with much more force. The carrier should always be secured to something to prevent it from moving.
